They are still saying snow here tomorrow but who knows. I certainly hope not. I don't want any more snow. Definitely over it!

Well I have all the components for my computer. My buddy from work is coming over tomorrow to help me put it together. Cannot wait!

so its been snowing for a bit....dont think we are going to get the amount they said (gee go figure), but we have more than we have had in the past bunch of storms.

We got some snow today. Not enough to cancel school. So my buddy came over tonight and we got my computer built. So that is all set up. I took him back home and the roads were bad. Would have been helpful if the plows had been out. >.> Of course they weren't so ya. But got home and found out school is cancelled for tomorrow... Crap.

oh yeah that makes sense...the storm is long gone, and the plows have the whole evening to move it---so tomorrow school is canceled! sorry to hear that pwnd!

not that much snow really, we would have still had to have gone to school when I was a kid with this piddly amount.

I went out and played in our snow...it was heavy enough to make some snow people, but its already warming up so, I think they are going to melt

lol I could play GW on my laptop. Just lost interest in it... Oh well.

Didn't play in the snow yesterday. Had to go look around at bedding, dishes, and towels yesterday instead. Couldn't find any dishes we liked.

lol, peeps still look for dishes???...uhm, let me tell you, dont get anything 'formal' (no one is going to get you formal dishes for your wedding gift in this day and age--20 years ago only 1 couple got me one setting of mine and they were an elderly couple my mom invited).
Basic white is always good for the 'everyday' dishes (which we never use either---), and something that can be microwaved is the best (got a bunch of microwave plates that we use as our first choice every time).
so
unless you are just decorating a wall--get something cheap and useful that you can use and if it gets broken, you wont care. (good choices are pfaltzgraff and corelle), though we just use mostly the plastic microwave ones and some 'real' breakable ones for bowls and glasses that we couldnt get in the plastic version (aka they were NOT microwave safe and/or dishwasher safe).

and the temps are close to freezing so my snow people are having a hard time

Ya we are looking for just everyday dishes but she doesn't want just white ones. But ya I would agree that they need to be microwaveable plates to say the least. So ya, who knows. I'm just there to nod my head.

I'm getting good at it. I know when to nod and when to voice my dislike of something that she asked me about but didn't look real excited about. Though I have been wrong sometimes. That is when it gets scary...

Well the storm that was supposed to miss us has already dropped 16" of snow and it is still snowing. The coastline is being battered again with more beach erosion and possible loss of houses. I'm glad it's March as it will just melt in a couple of days.

We are looking into Corelle now for everyday dishes apparently. I'm just nodding my head again. Cause I'm nice like that.

yeah corelle has some nice patterns ....I remember when my oldest brother got married his wife had picked a corelle pattern---one which has been discontinued, I remember them trying to find pieces for their set when they got broken (2 little boys will do that)...

so pick a set that has been around for sometime just in case you have to replace! (we went with the pfaltzgraff--white pattern since its very basic and easy to replace broken pieces, though I had picked a formal set by noritake, still wish I had a full 4 piece set of that)

Ya we have run into stuff that we liked being discontinued as well. Like the bedding set. No longer produced. Oh well. Makes life a little bit harder.

more rain and all the snow is gone (though they do have it in the forecast with temps in the mid 30's

).

hope everyone remembered to set their clocks ahead, some of mine did it on their own, others well, had to have some help (and my laptop is still on the old time--it will catch up

)....and the kitchen clock, well.....it will stay on the old time (it will be right again in a few months

!!)

Well it was 50's yesterday. 30's today. And tomorrow. 50's again on Friday though. Just have to get it there.
